“We are, as a species, addicted to story. Even when the body goes to sleep, the mind stays up all night, telling itself stories.” – Jonathan Gottschall, The Storytelling Animal

As an entrepreneur, what on earth should you do with a story? Why is business storytelling different from 'once upon a time'? And why are the principles of storytelling as a (creative) entrepreneur extremely important? Simple: to be successful, it is vital to distinguish yourself from your competitors and that can be done with two ingredients: yourself (and your 'why') and the stories you tell.

Your service or product is – unfortunately – not unique, your target group has plenty to choose from and your skillset is never the best or the newest for long. And you don't have to, as long as you can show yourself and let your stories speak for you. You are unique in this, they cannot be copied and it is precisely these that attract your ideal customer. Entrepreneurship is choosing the one that suits you, as an entrepreneur and as a customer. By creating connection, by showing who you are and that you understand that other person: show, don't tell, we call that in writer's land. And show is in this time when we are visually and textually overloaded, more important than ever.

In this keynote I will teach you the techniques behind storytelling, how storytelling works in our (online) ear and I will help you with practical tips and tricks to unlock your story and start using it. It's show time, baby :).

I created this (interactive) keynote (standard 1 hour, shrinkable to 30 min, expandable to 2.5 hours) for networking associations and entrepreneur days. Price on request. Interested? Please send me a message. neem contact met me op over de mogelijkheden.
